Painting 01

Trust me when I say that realism has never been one of my strong points. And yet I still dare to venture near that very cured art form that simply escaped my capacity to figure out. (yuck, that’s a mouthful)

I think I prefer the sketch.

I must have spent an hour on the mouth alone!!! And I still don’t like it. Though it’s the best looking one from the previous mouths (I don’t even know how many times I redid it)

In the end I think I only like the shirt collar and the ears.

Although between the unintended animalistic expression and the eyes that look somewhat like they’re really looking at you, I can honestly say that this painting kinda scares me from how alive it actually looks, even with the twisted anatomy issues.…
