there's so much I have set in my list, that I think the best way to start making a dent in it, is to actually choose a small set number of projects from the lot, and eliminate them from the list one week at a time.
my days off are set to 2 days every other week. this means that while one week I only get Friday off, the one after that I get Thursday & Friday off. then back to one day the week after, then two days the week after that and so on.
this means that now, my total days off per month is about 5 to 6 days, depending. (this is assumed I don't get pulled into overtime and lose a day from my allotted 2-day-off weeks)
anyway, so, with that in mind, I say this:
I here by make a promise to myself from this day on ward, that I WILL make the time, however small, to finish at least one or more, of the set number of projects chosen from my to-do list (seen in my ID info) which I will set myself to accomplish each week on my day(s) off.
now, tomorrow's my day off, and I've chosen these 3 projects to tackle:
whatever I finish, I finish. whatever I don't will be set for next week's goal.
and that is that.
