but the downside is all this itching and dry skin and chapped lips that I only get when the seasons are turning.
and add to the fact that I detest the use of any and all moisturizing creams... and you get a very irritated and grouchy Wazzy.
the fact of all this Swine Flu paranoia running about doesn't help with my grouchiness either. now you can't even so much as sneeze without getting a bloody inquisition of who, what, when, where, why and how.
it's just dust people! I'm not gonna cause an epidemic over a small (albeit a rather loud) sneeze!
honestly, just wash you hands regularly, don't drink from the same glass others use, keep handshakes to a minimum and cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing.
what is so bloody hard about that???? that's my general rule when going into the hepatitis's ward (and I usually don't even go there unless it's completely necessary or unavoidable) and I haven't caught that disease. while people are taking these shots that will avoid the actual disease, but still labels you as hepa-positive.
WTF?
I doubt some flu caused by an animal we don't even have can be caught while doing these very easy things that, by any stupid common sense, should be done anyway when working in a hospitalized environment.
if I wasn't already suffering a regular-mild-runny-nosed cold, I'd wish I got one just to screw around with them and cause mass panic just to show how stupid everyone is.
hell, it might even get me another week off.
bleh.
I find it sad that the mentality of a stray cat is more intelligent than the people I work with.
-------------------
in a much less ranting note, I get two days off this week. let's see what I can do with it!
red leads are interesting to work with. I've already tried a few doodles with them, and so far, I think they're great. I want to try a big project with them. maybe while attempting to knock off one of my goals for this weekend.
I also found a new treasure last week. a mechanical pencil that looks like a regular wooden one. I was so thrilled that I bought one of each color.
too bad stupid me forgot to buy the lead refills
that's what I get for getting distracted.
I also bought 2 betas on Sunday. it's been so long since I had a beta fish. there was a huge collection to pick from too about 50 fish all lined up in clear plastic cups. it was like shopping for a nice shirt
mom got a lovely orange one (I named him Sun-set) and a mottled blue-gray one with red fins (he looks like a cloud, so I dubbed him Storm) mom kept both my names for them.
her fish were easy to name, but mine got me stumped. I got a rainbow red one which looks like a flaming dragon. and a bluish-green-silver one that looks beautiful but doesn't bring a name to mind.
any ideas? I'd take pictures of all four, but our camera has once again gone missing. I gotta invest myself to get me one, one of these days.
did you know that a cat can bend itself almost double? and that doing so can allow them to suckle on their own *cough* nipple?
yeah
if someone would have told me this any time in the past, I would have agreed to the first, but not the second. yet here I am, with a full grown ginger tom cat (named Nameless, btw) who actually suckles his own nipple on his spare time.
I have no idea what to think on that other than it's the weirdest habit I've ever seen on a cat. even One-eyed-jack, a black cat with a missing eye who loved to sit in ankle-deep puddles of water while purring happily, wasn't as weird as this cat is being.
animal. go figure.
take care,
Wazzy

Your mind is my playground.
Also, the swine flu thing is kind of funny. It's like the thought of getting it is worse than actually getting it. My college is telling people that they need to go home or be quarantined in their rooms if they get it. It's so silly.
Also, I agree that that is a really weird cat.

Meh, about Swine Flu, I'm not so worried about getting it from most places, since I do all the recommended. But if the brother has it (seeing as he was in contact with a colleague with a confirmed case), then he's on my quarantine list because I can't afford to get sick and miss work. Meaning the days I lose would me hell for me to catch up rather than missing pay. And Swine Flu is apparently contractible via air at ten feet...so. ON him, I won't take chances. XD

Also, I got what I think is that new flu already, but I'm not concerned. Sore muscles + cold symptoms = don't care. xD
The Waz should come visit New England where it's supah cold. You would like it. x3

but I only heard. I can't trust either or in this case. but my heart says something's iffy about the whole flu ordeal. so for me, I wouldn't take the shot.
