Holy infestations Batman!
Piratehonestly, what nerve!!! they ruined the backing of my white shelves and dare to scuttle away once discovered. I had to cut out the rotten part of the backing so the outlet can stay exposed (not to mention to get rid of that unclean-able stain and moldy smell)
my only bright side is that because it's under the lowest shelf, you can't see neither stain nor hole. especially with my art supply boxes covering them.
the swine flu paranoia continues to annoy the bloody heck out of me at work. I'm now forced to wear a mouth mask, gloves, and carry a bottle of liquid sanitizer all over the place. the liquid goop, I can handle, and the gloves, ok, because I have to wear them in the hepatitis section anyways. but the face mask it totally redundant. because any germs you might get, often comes in through the eyes. so if you're gonna wear anything stupid, you might as well wear some goggles.
sorry, I ramble.
I give up trying to predict weather or not I'll get any art done for myself on my days off, but here's to still hoping SOMETHING will somehow get done this Thursday and Friday.
we now have a house cleaner, so chores are thankfully cut down. now if only mom can stop nagging me for just a few hours, I'd be happy as a kitten with a bell.

They make you wear a mask? That's...only effective at lowering transmission to other people when you're actually sick, not when you're well. Oh well, maybe you can think of how all of the Asian people wear masks when they're sick and going out in public. When I was walking home I saw some Asian girl wearing a mask while driving in her own car alona and my first thought was...what's the point of that? There's no one there and the virus dies off without a host anyway.... People are so strange. XD
And yeah, I agree about the comment on the swine flu. I mean, as long as you treat it on time there is nothing to worry about.

yeah, the lack of common sense behind it is what really drive me up the wall. but all I can do is just comply so I don't get a whole ear load.

Strangely enough, a few hours earlier I found out that my boss' kid has the Swine Flu...which is bad for him since he's 11 and has asthma. One of the at highest risk groups. D= I really hope that he ends out all right and not on a ventilator. So my boss is going to be out of the office taking care of him full time until he recovers.
